McDougall Farm Community Garden is a project initiated by the City of South Perth (the City) for the benefit of residents. The project itself is being carried forward by the community. Our intent is to create a safe, supportive gardening environment and community hub for all residents of the City and for those who are members because of their connection to the City. We aim to promote a sense of community, where trust, effort, knowledge, skill and responsibility are shared, and where creativity, quality and the environment are nurtured, and where equity and philanthropy can flourish in our community garden. Our members respect the heritage of the site, other users of the Neil McDougall Park, all peoples of all ages and ethnicity and value their inclusion in both participation in the garden and in decision making.
